5 Stud Landcruiser Independent Coil Suspension | 1600kg - 1800kg

Couplemate™ Off-Road Independent Coil Suspension (ICS) is purpose-built for challenging outback terrain. Our engineers have prioritized strength in this design, making it the top choice on the market for upgrading your off-road toy hauler, boat trailer, or work trailer.

When designing the Couplemate™ suspension, our team discovered the secret to enhancing rigidity and strength. While many Independent Suspensions rely solely on a bottom frame trailing arm, the Couplemate™ ICS redefines independent suspension by introducing a top frame.

This innovative design fortifies the frame, guaranteeing durability and resilience in the harshest conditions. With the added emphasis on strength through the top frame, your ICS ensures zero camber movement. This is important, as it prevents premature wear on your inner or outer tyre.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is 1600kg - 1800kg Right For Me?

Australian Design Rules (ADR) stipulate that your suspension should be rated at least 20% higher than the actual weight you intend to tow. For instance, if your towing load is approximately 2000kg, it is advisable to opt for a suspension system rated at 2250kg.

This weight range is right for you if your trailer weight (plus 20%) sits within the 1250kg-1450kg mark. This ensures the proper functioning and safety of the suspension system and is the optimal coil spring range.

We also offer our suspension in 1250kg-1450kg and 2000kg-2250kg.

Can I Upgrade the Weight Capacity Later?

Yes! If you might upgrade your trailer/caravan ATM later on, you can easily upgrade your Independent Coil Suspension, too.

When designing this suspension, Couplemate™ engineers prioritised strength and adaptability. You do not need to modify the suspension frame nor the dual shocks, but upgrade your coil spring and independent stub axle.

What Ride Heights Do You Offer?

Our suspension runs approximately 139.7mm higher than a standard spring and beam trailer leaf spring suspension. Couplemate™ offers three options for ride heights which operate at the following estimated measurements:Couplemate ICS Ride Heights

If you're looking to install the Independent Coil Suspension on a Boat Trailer, you'll likely want to lower the ride height slightly. Feel free to contact our team if you have any questions!
